Exotic Blocks adds decorative building blocks in many shapes and variants, including stairs, slabs, corners, wedges, glass and concrete for Fabric.
What it does
Exotic Blocks is a decoration mod with novel building blocks. Stone-type blocks come with stairs as well as concrete and terracotta variants. Inside and outside corners are separate blocks that can be placed independently, so stair and wedge pieces can be combined in many ways. Crafting a stonecutter recipe gives access to several of these shapes.
Placement can be set by the direction the player looks, by holding the Windows or Command key while placing, or by the face the player clicks, with the Control key. Round and square variants exist, some of them with illumination. Luminous light-sources are crafted with glowstone dust or prismarine. Glass blocks craft back into regular glass one for one, and connected glass and stained glass blocks are included. REI is recommended for viewing the recipes.
Exotic Blocks is licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only and is open source. Files are published for Fabric alone, for game versions 1.18.1, 1.18.2, 1.19 and 1.19.2, with the mod environment set to client and server. The source code and issue tracker are public. Block names changed starting in 1.16, so worlds created before that version convert on load; a backup is advisable before trying an issue log.

Fancy Glass is a Fabric mod for 1.20.1, released under the MIT License and open source, so it covers a different version than Exotic Blocks. Glass slab is also a Fabric mod for 1.19.2, but it is not open source and is under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 only. 5q12's Concrete targets Fabric 1.20.1 under the CC0 1.0 Universal license and is open source.
