Evil Seagull

Seagulls gain new targets. Besides food, they can take items from Sophisticated Backpacks, including backpacks left placed in the world, and from Create conveyor belts, where they hover over the moving items. With Refined Storage and Applied Energistics 2 installed, their interface blocks become valid theft targets, and seagulls can also drain AE2 network power while doing so. An optional config lets seagulls steal non-food items too; when they do, they fly away and drop the item at a random location instead of eating it. The default search range is 16 blocks, matching vanilla seagull item detection, and the block entity search runs chunk by chunk.

The mod is published for Forge and NeoForge, for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, and needs Alex's Mobs and its unofficial port Alex's Mobs (Unofficial Port). Create, Refined Storage, Applied Energistics 2 and Sophisticated Backpacks are optional and add their own theft targets when present. Both sides need it, so the server and every player must run the mod. The code is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only and is open source, with a public source repository and issue tracker. The latest Forge build is 1.4.2 for 1.20.1, and the latest NeoForge build is 1.0.0 for 1.21.1.
