Etherite
by ItzSomzzz
Etherite is a Forge addition for Minecraft 1.20.1 that brings new armors, tools, weapons, blocks, ores, custom mobs and bosses into the game.
What it does
The mod centers on etherite, a rare resource that can be processed into scrap ingots and used to craft tools, weapons and armor. Etherite ores and blocks are added to the world, and echo shard ores appear alongside them, so players have a material to work toward before the late-game gear.
Custom mobs and bosses are placed in the world and fought with the new equipment. The content is meant to be played in survival worlds and on multiplayer servers, where its gear and resources sit alongside the vanilla progression. Players planning a server should check compatibility with their other mods before installing it.
The mod runs on Forge for 1.20.1 only, and the latest file is 0.2.06-1.20.1, published on 2023-12-24 on the alpha channel. Because the environment is client and server, the server and every player need it. Just Enough Items (JEI) is optional and adds recipe lookup for the new items. The code is under the MIT License and is open source.

How it compares
More Ores! is open source under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 only and covers 1.20.1 – 1.20.4, adding ores rather than an armor and boss progression. Charvile and Imaginary Craft are both published under All rights reserved for 1.20.1 only, and both are Client and server, the same environment as Etherite.
