Eternal Render

by _sh4dowK1ngxX

Eternal Render, a Project Eternal module, adjusts Render Distance and entity render distance during play by watching game performance.

FabricForgeClient-side onlyMIT License1.21.10 – 26.3

What it does

While enabled, Eternal Render monitors performance and can change rendering-related settings automatically. When frame rate drops, it lowers the rendering load; when headroom appears, it can raise the values up to the limits the mod sets. The F8 key turns it on or off.

Eternal Render needs Fabric Loader and Fabric API on Fabric, and it is also published for Forge. Only the client needs it, so servers run without it. Its optional dependency is Eternal FPS, and it works alongside the other Project Eternal modules, which can be used together.

Files cover game versions 1.21.10 – 26.3, with 2.0.0 for 26.3 as the latest build on both loaders. The code is released under the MIT License, but the mod is not open source.

Key features

  1. Automatic render adjustment

The mod tunes Render Distance and entity render distance from in-game performance readings.

  2. Load reduction

When performance falls, the mod lowers rendering work to recover frame rate.

  3. Higher limits when headroom exists

With spare performance, the mod can allow higher values, but only within limits it defines.

  4. F8 toggle

Pressing F8 switches Eternal Render on or off during play.
