[ESF] Entity Sound Features
by Traben
Entity sound variation for mobs, driven by OptiFine-format property rules, is what [ESF] Entity Sound Features adds, and it runs on the client alone.
What it does
The mod changes which sound an entity plays, choosing among variants according to rules written in the ETF and OptiFine properties format. Resource packs supply the rules, so a pack can vary the sounds of existing mobs without changing any code. [EMF] Entity Model Features and [ETF] Entity Texture Features must be installed alongside it, since sound rules are read through them.
Key features
Sound variation rules
Rules in the OptiFine properties format pick a replacement for an entity's played sound.
Sound properties for ETF and EMF
Extra sound properties become available to ETF and EMF rule files, letting them respond to entity state.
Sound animation functions
Animation functions tied to sounds are added to EMF, for timing effects against played audio.
