Ender Storage

by covers1624

Ender Storage links chests and tanks across the world through matching color codes, so every block with the same code shares one inventory.

ForgeNeoForgeClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.2.5 – 1.21.1

What it does

Chests are linked by a pattern of colored wool pads on top of the block. Dye applied to the pads sets the color code, and a chest can also be crafted from three dyes to set it. Every storage with the same code shares its contents, including storage in other dimensions. Diamonds placed on the latch of an EnderChest move that chest onto a separate network belonging to the player who used the diamond, so each player can use all 4096 frequencies without conflicts on a multiplayer server.

Three storage types are included: the stationary EnderChest, a mobile pouch and the EnderTank for liquids. A pouch used on an EnderChest takes on that chest's color code and draws from the same inventory, which gives access to base resources from anywhere. EnderChests behave like ordinary chests for other blocks that move or read item contents. The mod is distributed for Forge and NeoForge, is open source under the MIT License, and requires CodeChicken Lib. Ender Botany Pots depends on it.

Key features

  1. Color-coded linking

Storage blocks with the same dye pattern share an inventory, regardless of where they are placed.

  2. Portable pouch storage

A pouch takes the color code of an EnderChest it is used on and opens that chest's shared inventory.

  3. EnderTank for liquids

The same linking principle applies to tanks, which store fluids instead of items.

  4. Personal frequency network

A diamond on an EnderChest latch moves it to a private network, giving each player separate frequencies.

What the author says

These chests link together based on matching color patterns. All chests with the same color buttons share an inventory. Ender bags can be color coded to access chests as well giving you a portable solution to the question "How do I access the stuff at my base when I am not there?" EnderStorage is a mod that offers a…
