Enchantment Level Language Patch
Enchantment Level Language Patch changes how enchantment and potion levels are shown in-game, by rewriting language strings from a config file rather than from edited lang files.
What it does
The patch targets two translation key families, enchantment.level.x and potion.potency.x, and replaces the displayed level text with a pattern such as Sharpness 20/XX. The default value is a plain %s, so the numbers stay as they are until a pattern is configured.
Settings live in config keys for the default enchantment and potion type and for an override switch. When the override is set to true, existing translations are replaced rather than left alone. The author describes separate add-ons for pure Arabic numerals and for Roman numerals as examples of this override in use.
The mod is licensed under the WTFPL and is not open source. It runs on the client only, so servers do not need it. Files are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, with Legacy Fabric and Ornithe builds for 1.13.2, and builds cover 1.12.2 – 26.3, including snapshot builds. Create's Delight, Enchantment Level Language Patch – Arabic Numerals Addon and Enchantment Level Language Patch – Roman Numerals Addon all require this patch.
Key features
Enchantment level formatting
Rewrites the displayed level of each enchantment through the enchantment.level.x translation keys.
Potion potency formatting
Applies the same kind of pattern to potion effect levels through the potion.potency.x keys.
Config-driven defaults
A default format type can be set separately for enchantments and for potions in the config.
Translation override switch
An override option replaces existing translations when enabled, so a chosen format wins over the language file.
Developer API
Mods can declare LangPatch as a dependency and change in-game translations from code, without editing lang files.

Use cases
Pure Arabic numerals
A pack can show levels such as Sharpness 5 by using the stub add-on for Arabic numerals, loaded together with the patch.
Roman numerals
Another stub add-on shows levels such as Sharpness XXV, which the author lists as a separate add-on.
Who it’s for: Players who want enchantment or potion levels shown in a different style, and modpack makers who prefer not to edit lang files directly. Mod developers who need to change in-game translations from code can also use the API.
