EnchantPeek
EnchantPeek shows the full set of enchantments an enchantment table offers before the player spends lapis levels.
What it does
The Fabric client mod displays every enchantment on offer at an enchantment table before any levels are spent, so a player can compare options first. Singleplayer worlds and most multiplayer servers work through regular client-side prediction, which reads the table's state on the client side. The mod requires Fabric API and is released under the MIT License as open source, for Minecraft 1.21.11.
Players may also install an optional companion plugin on a Paper server. When the plugin is present, the server sends authoritative previews to Fabric clients that have EnchantPeek installed, so the shown enchantments match what the server will actually apply. Without the plugin, previews come from client-side prediction alone.
To set it up, a player needs Fabric Loader at version 0.18.4 or later, the Fabric API library, and Minecraft 1.21.11 in place before the EnchantPeek jar goes into the client's mods folder. The jar is placed in the client's mods folder. Only the client needs EnchantPeek; the server side is limited to the optional plugin.
Key features
Full offer preview
Every enchantment the table would offer is listed before the player commits lapis and levels.
Client-side prediction
Predictions are computed on the client, so singleplayer and most multiplayer servers are covered without server changes.
Seed refresh on new items
Each time a fresh item is placed in the enchanting table, the seed for the enchantment roll is renewed, which keeps the previews in step with the options on offer.
