Enchant Anything

by shiftjis

Enchant Anything lets players apply enchantments to items that normally cannot receive them, opening up unusual gear combinations in survival and adventure play.

FabricForgeClient and serverCC0 1.0 UniversalOpen source1.20.1

What it does

Enchant Anything allows enchantments to be applied to items that vanilla Minecraft would never accept them on. Once an enchantment is placed, the item keeps working as expected, so an enchanted piece of unusual equipment behaves the way the enchantment describes.

Duplicate enchantments are permitted, and the cost of applying further enchantments rises as more are added to the same item. Players can use this to build heavily enchanted pieces, but each additional enchantment becomes more expensive to add.

The mod runs on both the client and the server, so the server and every player need it. It is published for Fabric and Forge, with a single version, 1.20.1, covered by its files. Enchant Anything is open source under the CC0 1.0 Universal license.

Key features

  1. Enchanting non-standard items

Items that normally cannot receive enchantments can be enchanted, which allows unique combinations of gear and effect.

  2. Duplicate enchantments

The same enchantment can be applied more than once to a single item, stacking its effect as the player chooses.

  3. Rising enchantment costs

Each added enchantment raises the cost of the next, so heavily enchanted items take more resources to build.

  4. Functional enchantments

Enchantments such as Efficiency behave like they do on tools, for example by mining faster or dropping more items.
