Emojiful lets players send emoji in chat by typing text triggers, and it supports animated emoji.

What it does

Typing a trigger such as :) or :rage: in chat renders the matching emoji in place of the plain text. Animated emoji are supported, and the mod provides autocomplete and a selection screen for searching the available set. It is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, with Fabric API required on Fabric, and the environment is client and server, so the server and every player need it. The mod is open source under the MIT License.

    Common emoticons like :) and named codes like :ok hand: are replaced with their emoji as they appear in chat.

  2. Animated emoji

    Emoji that have animation play their frames in the chat window rather than showing a static image.

  3. Autocomplete and search

    A selection screen and autocomplete help players find and insert from the full list of available emoji.
