Earlygame Lodestones changes the lodestone recipe so players can craft one before reaching netherite gear.

What it does

Vanilla lodestones need a netherite base, which keeps them out of reach for newer players. This data pack swaps in a recipe that uses raw iron surrounded by smooth stone, so a lodestone can be made earlier in a survival run while the compass remains the navigational tool it is in vanilla.
