The Dyson Sphere Project, a Forge technology mod, adds a late-game goal built around constructing a Dyson Sphere around a sun.
What it does
Reaching the goal takes a large supply of energy materials stocked before the sphere is started. Its main parts are built with the Electromagnetic Orbital Launcher, which sends Space Capsules carrying Solar Satellites into orbit around the sun, where the satellites are assembled. Heat-based generator setups are used to power the process, and the components page in the guide describes how each part is used.
The mod is intended as an endgame automation goal rather than an early-game feature, and its recipes and progression are expanded further than the base content. Completing the sphere yields a very large energy output, and the author notes that using all of it is impossible. Most values can be changed in the config file. Dyson Sphere Project depends on AAA Particles, Mekanism, Patchouli and PneumaticCraft: Repressurized as optional integrations.
