Dramatic Doors
by Kitteh6660
Dramatic Doors adds a three-block-tall door type to Minecraft, with a tall variant for every vanilla wood and several newer wood types.
What it does
Tall doors fill three blocks vertically and come in every vanilla door material. Crimson and Warped are added for 1.16 and later, Mangrove for 1.19 and later, and Bamboo and Cherry for 1.20 and later. Crafting uses three regular doors stacked vertically in a crafting table, which returns two tall doors.
The mod is built for modpacks and supports more than 100 other mods across Forge and Fabric. A single JAR works on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt. It is open source under the MIT License, and both the source code and the issue tracker are public. Files cover 14 release versions, 1.16.5 – 1.21.1, and the latest file for 1.20.1 is dated 2026-02-15. Client and server share the mod, so both sides need it.
Key features
Three-block tall doors
Each door occupies three blocks in height, giving builds a taller entrance than standard doors.
Full vanilla material set
Every vanilla door wood has a tall version, and the newer wood types from later versions are included as well.
Vertical crafting recipe
Three regular doors stacked in a column on a crafting table produce two tall doors.

Use cases
Taller entrances in builds
Builders use tall doors for gates, castle entries and other openings that need more height than a standard door.
Modpack development
Pack makers include the mod for its broad loader support and its single JAR that runs on four loaders.
Who it’s for: Builders who want taller entrances, and modpack authors who need one door mod that works across Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt.
How it compares
Different Doors is open source under the MIT License, runs on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and covers 1.20.1 – 1.21.1, so it overlaps with Dramatic Doors on loaders and environment. Macaw's Doors is also open source under the MIT License, supports Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, and spans 1.16.5 – 26.3, a wider version range that Dramatic Doors does not reach. Sliding Doors is not open source, uses the All rights reserved license, and runs only on Forge and NeoForge for 1.18 – 26.2.

What the author says
Doors that are barely tall enough to fit your player...? Doors that suffocate you when you ride ol' Blackjack the horse through? Enderman discrimination? Seriously? Can we not have intrigue? Whatever happened to the tender grace and elegance of a nice tall door? Where is the drama?!?
