DragN's Just Bettas adds betta fish that players keep in customizable aquariums, with a biome to find them in and a guide for the first tank.
What it does
Betta fish can be caught and placed into tanks of a custom size, then decorated with items to keep them happy. Each betta has a pattern, body type and color that are generated at random, and the variations number over 3400. Bettas appear in a Betta Biome, so players can search for the variant they prefer. Upon bucketing a betta, the player receives a Betta Guide that explains how to build the first tank.
Bettas have genders, color, rarity and breeding. Females are generally slimmer and smaller, with smaller fins and often duller color than males, and only males fight one another. Colors, markings and body types are inherited through breeding, and a pair can be bred with Spider Eyes. Tanks placed next to each other are decorated dynamically, and decor can be rotated to face different directions.
The mod runs on Forge and NeoForge. Client and server are both needed, so the server and every player must install it. It is released under All rights reserved and is not open source. Forge files cover 1.20.1 and NeoForge files cover 1.21.1.
