DontUseCommand
by canyuesama
DontUseCommand is a Forge utility that blocks chosen commands for players, so a modpack author can lock down cheat-related commands.
What it does
Commands listed in a configuration file named DUC.txt are disabled for players, regardless of their game mode. Server operators are also barred from them in-game, but commands typed into the server console still run. The file is generated in the config folder on first launch, and each line holds one command. Sub-instructions such as gamemode creative or gamemode survival can be listed to disable only part of a command.
The mod is intended for integrated packs where the author wants players unable to cheat. It is a small mod made of three Java files that handle the core events and block command execution. After editing the file, the client or server must be restarted, or the /reload command used, before the change takes effect. On a large server, the author notes that LuckPerms is the better choice for permissions. The mod is released under AFL-3.0 and is not open source. It is published for Forge and targets 1.13 – 1.21.1, with support for NeoForge noted by the author.
Key features
Command blocking list
Each disabled command is written on its own line in DUC.txt, with no need to add anything to the code.
Sub-instruction control
Individual parts of a command, such as a single game mode, can be disabled while the rest keeps working.
Reload support
Edits to the list take effect after a restart or the /reload command, without rebuilding the mod.
Operator restriction
Server operators cannot run the disabled commands in game, although console input is not affected.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Modpack authors and server owners who want to restrict specific commands for players. Small servers without a permissions setup are the main fit.
How it compares
Fast commands is Forge-only for 1.20.1, released under All rights reserved and not open source, and it is client and server. LTcommands is Forge-only for 1.12.2 under the MIT License, also client and server and not open source. Patched is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v2.1 only, runs on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt for 1.18.2 – 26.2, and is optional on either side. DontUseCommand targets a wider range of versions on Forge alone.
