Display Delight
by jkvin114
Display Delight lets players set down every food item from the food mods it supports as a 3D block on the ground.
What it does
Players sneak and right-click a food that sits in a container such as a bowl or glass bottle to place it directly on the ground. Placed foods can be taken back one at a time or all at once, and a food plate can be hidden with an axe or shown again with a matching plate item. Silk Touch mining turns placed foods back into items, though plated foods must be at full stack capacity before they drop.
The mod is aimed at builders and players who decorate kitchens, dining rooms and markets with food. It covers the foods of the supported mods and adds eight Corn Delight foods. Wandering Traders sell food block items, favouring those from add-ons a player has not installed, and this is the only survival source for those specific food blocks. Because placed foods carry no tile data and track no entity state, large numbers of them stay light on the server.
The project is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 or later, and its source code is public. Files are published for Forge and NeoForge, with the latest builds for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1 both dated 2026-06-13. Client and server both need the mod. Some of its 3D models derive from a resource pack by Pder, and DisplayDelightJS requires Display Delight.

Use cases
Decorating a kitchen
Builders can arrange cooked dishes on counters and tables without each dish being a block entity.
Filling a market stall
Wandering Traders stock food blocks, so a stall can be built from items gathered across the world.
Who it’s for: Builders and roleplay players who want food on display in their worlds. Server owners who run a large food display also benefit from placed blocks not being entities.
