Dimensional Roulette
by Palawi
Dimensional Roulette, a Fabric minigame, teleports a player to a random dimension each time they take damage.
What it does
Each time a player takes damage, the mod sends them to a randomly chosen dimension. Admins can set a custom spawn point for each dimension, so a server controls where players land. Specific dimensions can be blocked from the random pool, which keeps the chaos inside the dimensions a server wants to allow.
Teleports are made safer than a plain drop. The player's fire is put out before the jump, fall damage is prevented on arrival through a slow falling effect, and the landing spot is checked so the player does not appear inside walls or in the void. A spawn that would place the player in bedrock is replaced with stone, and a spawn inside solid blocks is cleared into a three by three escape room.
The mod is built for the Fabric loader and runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need it. Files cover 1.21.1 and 1.21.4, with 1.0.2 for 1.21.4 as the latest Fabric file, published 2025-03-04. It is open source under the MIT License, and its source code and issue tracker are public.
Key features
Random dimension teleports
Taking damage sends the player to a random dimension, turning every hit into a trip somewhere new.
Per-dimension spawn points
Admins define a custom spawn point for each dimension, so arrivals land where the server intends.
Dimension blacklist
Selected dimensions can be excluded from teleportation, keeping the random pool to the ones a server chooses.
Safe landings
Fire is removed before a teleport, fall damage is prevented, and the arrival spot is checked for walls, void and bedrock.
Compatibility

Use cases
Chaos challenge on a server
Server owners run the mod as a challenge where each hit moves the player to another dimension, with spawns and blocked dimensions set in advance.
Who it’s for: Players who want a chaotic minigame, and server owners who want to control where random teleports can land.
