Difficulty of Nightmare

by donguritasuku

With Difficulty of Nightmare installed, enemies on Forge 1.20.1 hit harder, move faster and chase players from farther away.

ForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.20.1

What it does

Hostile mobs can have their attack damage, movement speed, maximum health, search range and swimming speed raised, and certain mobs receive added knockback resistance or flight. Config options control the multiplier, so server owners can tune how far the stats go. Some mobs can become children, and some become more explosive. Only the client needs it, and the server needs it too.

Key features

  1. Boosted enemy stats

Server owners can increase the attack damage, walking speed, maximum health, detection range and swim speed of hostile creatures.

  2. Configurable multiplier

A config value sets the multiplier, with a default of 10x, so the difficulty can be scaled to the world.

  3. Altered mob behavior

Some mobs gain flight, knockback resistance or higher automatic jump height, and certain mobs can become more explosive.
