Diamond Economy
by IAmSneak
With Diamond Economy, server owners give players a currency built on diamonds, where balances, buying, selling and deposits are handled through commands.
What it does
The mod sets up a basic economy in which diamonds act as the currency. The currency item is configurable, so a server can use another item in place of diamonds. Players can check their own balance, or another player's, and the mod reports the buy and sell price of an item when a player asks for it.
Players buy and sell items with commands: a buy command takes an amount of one item (1 by default), a sell command does the same from the hand, and deposit commands move diamonds from the inventory or hand into the balance. A config command with subcommands changes the settings. The mod runs on the server only, so players join without installing anything.
Diamond Economy requires Fabric API and Cloth Config API. It is published for Fabric and Forge across 15 release versions, 1.16.4 – 1.21.1, and the code is open source under the MIT License.
Key features
Diamond balances
Each player has a diamond balance that the mod reads, reports and updates as purchases and deposits happen.
Buy and sell by command
Items can be bought or sold in set amounts, with the amount defaulting to one item when none is given.
Deposits from inventory and hand
Diamonds can be deposited from the whole inventory or from the item in hand, with a limit that can be set for inventory deposits.
Configurable currency
The currency item can be changed in the config, and config subcommands adjust the economy settings.

How it compares
EnderSMP Economy is a Forge mod for 1.20.1, released under the Apache License 2.0, with its own economy that players run on client and server. BlockBuddy is a Fabric client-side mod for 1.21.1 – 1.21.11 under All rights reserved, so it changes nothing on the server. SkyblockBlue is an open source client-side Fabric mod under the MIT License for 26.1.2, the only one of the three that is open source and MIT licensed like Diamond Economy.
