Diamond Buildings
by Huauaua
Diamond Buildings gives Fabric players diamond versions of stairs, doors, trapdoors and other building blocks for 1.20.1, built to sit alongside the vanilla set.
What it does
Diamond Buildings adds diamond stairs, doors and trapdoors, along with other decorative pieces that use diamonds as a building material. Players craft them in survival mode from the usual ingredients, so the new blocks become part of normal progression rather than a creative-only addition. The author notes that the doors and trapdoors look better than the stock gold versions, and the same approach is applied to the metal blocks.
The mod is aimed at players who want to construct entire houses from a single material palette, and at groups who build together. The author describes the mod as fun to play with friends, so it suits shared survival builds where several players gather materials. Because the client does the rendering of these blocks, a player needs the mod installed to see them, while a server can run without it.
Diamond Buildings is a Fabric mod for 1.20.1 only, released under the Apache License 2.0 and not open source. It requires no other mod to run.
Key features
Diamond stairs and slabs
Stairs and related shapes are crafted from diamonds, so a build can keep a consistent material look from floor to roof.
Diamond doors and trapdoors
Doors and trapdoors in diamond are available as placeable blocks, styled to match the new stairs.
Survival crafting
Every new block is obtainable through ordinary crafting, so survival players can use them without creative access.
Metal building materials
Gold and iron appear as matching building materials, so a house can mix metal and diamond finishes.
