Decorative Workstations

by Dekoo

Decorative Workstations, by Dekoo, adds lookalike copies of vanilla workstations, bells and beds that keep their look but drop villager job behavior.

What it does

The mod adds decorative versions of vanilla workstation blocks, bells and beds. Each copy keeps the appearance of its original and plays a small animation when right-clicked, but it has no inventory, no trades and no villager AI, so a villager cannot claim it as a workplace or a bed. Builders can place these copies in market alleys, taverns and harbors without a villager turning a prop into a job site. The originals are never changed.

Covered blocks include most of the workstation family, along with the bell and sixteen bed colors in decorative form. Each copy can be crafted with a simple reversible recipe, and a dedicated creative tab groups the decorative versions in one place. Players can use an inspection mode to check a spot before changing it, and removing decorative blocks before uninstalling prevents them from turning into air. The mod is client and server, so the server and every player need it.

Key features

  1. Villager-free workstations

Decorative copies of thirteen workstation blocks look like the originals but skip inventories, trades and job claims.

  2. Right-click animations

Several decorative blocks, including the composter and smoker, answer a right-click with a purely visual animation.

  3. Sixteen bed colors

Beds come in all sixteen dye colors in decorative form, with the sleep mechanic left out.

  4. Decorative bell

A bell copy keeps the look of the original and drops the villager interaction.

  5. Reversible recipes

Each decorative block is craftable with a simple recipe that can be reversed to recover the original.
