Decorative Sniffer Eggs lets players place Sniffer Egg decorations that do not hatch, with a shell-based variant for building.

What it does

Players can decorate with Sniffer Egg blocks without the risk of a sniffer hatching from them. The mod is a small quality-of-life update by craisinlord, a redesign of an earlier Decorative Sniffer Egg mod that brought the idea to newer game versions. Files exist for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across seven release versions, 1.20.1 – 26.2, under All rights reserved, and the mod is not open source. It is client and server, so the server and every player need it.

Key features

  1. Non-hatching eggs

    Sniffer Egg blocks can be placed as decoration and will not hatch into sniffers.

  2. Shell leftovers

    A hatched egg leaves behind a Sniffer Egg Shell, which can be crafted into a Hollow Sniffer Egg.

  3. Directional placement

    Where the vanilla Sniffer Egg ignores facing, the Hollow Sniffer Egg takes a direction when set down, so builders can orient it without extra steps.
