Datapack Function Library is a set of reusable functions for datapack authors, covering damage, respawn control and a death scoreboard item.

What it does

Datapack Function Library gives datapack authors reusable functions for fall, fire, freeze and drowning damage. Other functions place the world respawn point at the origin with a radius of zero, and fix respawn time at the highest block coordinate. A scoreboard item named death is created so a pack can count deaths.

The library depends on the data pack system, so it only works on versions where data packs can be installed. Server owners and developers build their own packs on top of these functions. Localization Resource Pack is a required dependency, and it should be added together with the localized content, version 3.2 or later. Otherwise the data pack language falls back to the default zh_cn.

The license is the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 or later, so the code is open source. It is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and as a data pack, across 51 release versions, 1.13 – 26.3. Only the server has to run it; players may add it but need nothing to join. no entity lag requires this mod.
