Darwin Water Ambience
by brandyn
Darwin Water Ambience, a Forge client mod for 1.7.10, adds water effects such as rain ripples and splashes that play on the water surface around players.
What it does
Rain ripples and water waves appear on the surface of liquid water in the world, and the effects respond to rainfall. The mod works with the vanilla water material, so it applies to the water blocks already present in a world. Only the client needs it: players install it, and servers run without it. The mod is released under the MIT License, and it is not open source. It is published for Forge 1.7.10 only, with a2 as the latest file, dated 2024-10-03.

Rain ripples
Rain falling on water produces ripple rings across the surface of the water blocks.
Water waves
Water surfaces display waves that give the liquid a moving, ambient look.
Splash effects
Entities and dropped items that enter water create splashes at the point of contact.
