Dark Chidori Origin
Dark Chidori Origin lets a player take on the dark warlock origin, with dark arts magic, altered body traits and a set of blood-based abilities.
What it does
Installed with the Origins mod, which is required, the origin gives a player the Chidori form and the dark warlock role. Its magic centers on dark arts, and through the player's own research the body can adapt in ways similar to the Blazeborn origin, including taking damage from fire. The origin also reaches further than an ordinary human: a biting and blood-based arrow system lets a bow fire venomous arrows that poison enemies on impact, and dark magic can nullify fall damage and let the player walk on water.
Other abilities change how the character moves and fights. Stabbing oneself with an arrow grants speed, infusing dark magic with blood casts a regeneration spell, and the skin can stick to blocks. Spells grant five extra inventory slots, while casting costs two hearts from a human's health and can affect vision. Ranged weapons are unusable because the dark arrow ability takes their place, and the Chidori blood emits particles as it runs through the veins. The mod is released under All rights reserved, is not open source, and is published for Fabric and Forge on 1.18.2 – 1.20.4 in 11 release versions. It needs both the server and every player.
