Dangerous Darkness brings a darkness mechanic from Don't Starve into Minecraft 1.20.1, so nights become harder unless the player carries a light source.
What it does
Dangerous Darkness adds a darkness mechanic inspired by the survival game Don't Starve. Night makes play harder, and a player who wanders into darkness without a light source at hand risks death. Keeping a torch or other light in hand keeps the danger away. Installation covers the server and each player's game. Builds exist for Fabric and Forge, both for 1.20.1, and the code is released under All rights reserved, so it is not open source.

With this mod, the nights in the game will become harder. And any darkness too. To avoid death, you will always have to have a light source in your hands, or be near it. The mod was created for my modpack, but you can use it for your game.
