Dairatz adds a tameable flying fairy companion that follows players, heals its owner, and fights mobs that attack them.

What it does

Players tame a fairy and then ride along as it follows them. Right-clicking a tamed fairy with the tame item heals it by 4 HP, and right-clicking it to place its head sits it in one spot, though only one fairy can sit that way at a time. Pressing Shift dismounts the fairy.

Tamed fairies fight alongside their owner: when a mob hurts the owner, the fairies attack it, and when the owner attacks, they join in. Fairies stop chasing a target that takes them too far away, and they teleport back to the owner if they fall too far behind. Projectiles fired by fairies do no damage to their owner or to other fairies, and every fairy follows its owner in the same way.

The mod needs Fabric API and runs on the client and the server, so both sides need it. Files are published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, with builds for 1.21.1 and 1.21.11, under the MIT License, and the source code is open source.
