Curious Chests
by ouheaddd
Curious Chests adds ten chests with their own storage mechanics, and each one is built around a single purpose.
What it does
Instead of a single large storage network, the mod gives the familiar chest a set of specialized variants. Some collect items automatically, some sort them, some transport them, some protect their contents and some restock or hold large stockpiles. Each chest keeps to one clear idea, and the ten of them are meant to fit into normal vanilla storage habits rather than replace them.
Curious Chests needs Fabric API on Fabric, and its other loader builds have their own required dependencies. Storage Chest holds 63 slots and stacks most items up to 256 per slot, while items that normally stack still behave normally. Remote transport works without cables, and protected storage can track intrusions. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too. Files are published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, covering game versions 1.20.1 – 1.21.1 under the MIT License.
Key features
Ten specialized chests
Each of the ten chests has its own storage ability, such as collecting, sorting, transporting or protecting items.
Remote item transport
Items can move between storage points without cables, which removes the need for a complicated storage network.
Protected storage
A protective chest tracks intrusions, so the owner can see when someone has tried to access its contents.
Large stockpiles
The Storage Chest holds 63 slots and allows up to 256 items per slot for most stackable items.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Players who want the feel of vanilla chests with extra behavior, and server owners who want a few purpose-built storage blocks rather than a full storage network mod.
