CuisineCraft

by ZappyQ

CuisineCraft adds ingredients, crops, multi-step recipes and a Fryer block to the food system, letting players grow, catch and cook their own meals.

FabricForgeNeoForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.12.2 – 1.21.1

What it does

Players grow fresh produce, including rice planted on suitable ground beneath shallow water, and harvested crops yield several ingredients plus extra seeds. Most seeds drop when grass is broken. Salt Ore generates underground in the Overworld, and Salt works as a seasoning in several recipes. Shrimp spawn naturally in ocean biomes, rivers and lakes, and can be caught and prepared.

The Fryer is a functional block that works much like a furnace but runs dedicated frying recipes, with its own interface for recipe handling. Fuel and the correct ingredient are both needed to prepare a dish. Dishes such as Shrimp Fried Rice return a bowl after being eaten, and Breaded Shrimp, Crispy Shrimp and Shrimp Burger are added as prepared foods.

The mod runs on the client and on the server, so both need it. It is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across 8 release versions, 1.12.2 – 1.21.1, under All rights reserved, and is not open source. Public source code, an issue tracker and a wiki are linked from the project.

Key features

  1. Growing crops

Seeds drop from broken grass, and grown crops return multiple ingredients along with additional seeds.

  2. Shrimp fishing and cooking

Shrimp spawn in ocean biomes, rivers and lakes, and are used in Breaded Shrimp, Crispy Shrimp and Shrimp Burger.

  3. Fryer block

A furnace-like block that cooks with dedicated frying recipes, fuel and a specific ingredient.

  4. Salt mining

Salt Ore generates underground and responds to both Fortune and Silk Touch, giving a seasoning for multi-step recipes.

  5. Shrimp Fried Rice

A dish that returns a bowl after it is eaten, so the bowl can be reused.
