Creative in hardcore
Creative in hardcore lets the recorded owner of a world grant or revoke creative mode for selected players, and it is a Fabric and Forge mod that runs on the client alone.
What it does
Creative access is limited to the world owner. Singleplayer and LAN worlds record the player who created them as owner, and on dedicated servers the first player to initialize the world becomes the recorded owner. Once administration is locked, that UUID stays fixed. Operators do not automatically become administrators, so server permissions alone do not grant creative access.
Only the recorded owner can enable, disable, grant or revoke creative access. Authorized players can use creative mode but cannot pass access on to other players unless the owner allows it. In survival, creative, adventure and hardcore worlds alike, the mod keeps working, and authorized players can switch modes with the vanilla F3+F4 switcher. Each world keeps its own owner record in a config file that is created on first run.
The mod is client-side only, so a server that runs vanilla clients does not need it installed for players to join. It is released under the MIT License as open source, and the same jar works across the supported environments: singleplayer, LAN, and dedicated Fabric servers. Files are published for Fabric and Forge on 26.1.1, 26.1.2, 26.2 and 26.3, with the latest Fabric file at 4.9.1 for 26.3 and the latest Forge file at 1.0.0 for 26.1.1.
Key features
Owner-controlled creative access
The recorded world owner decides which players may use creative mode, and can revoke that access at any time.
Per-world owner record
Each world stores the UUID of its owner, so the permission follows the world rather than the operator list.
Authorized player switching
Authorized players can switch game mode with the vanilla F3+F4 switcher without any extra command.
Chat command
The hccreative command is used to manage access, and the config file controls the initial setup.
