Create: Addon Compatibility

by Amronos

Create: Addon Compatibility unifies blocks, items and fluids from several Create addons so that recipes and processes from different mods accept each other's materials.

What it does

Blocks and items from the covered mods are unified, so a recipe or machine that accepts one of them accepts its equivalents too. Where several mods provide the same item, a configured priority decides which version is kept, and the lower-priority copies are hidden in recipe viewers. Fluids are unified in the same way, which lets oil and fuel products flow through the processes of more than one mod.

The mod covers pairs such as Coal Coke Dust and Plastic Sheet, copycat blocks across several Create add-ons, and crude oil and fuels across a range of energy and rocket mods. Fuels can be used in rockets; a datapack included in the mod turns that cross-mod fuel support off. Support for custom fuel types is still limited, so only some generators accept the unified fuels.

Almost Unified and Create are required and must be installed. Forge and NeoForge are the only loaders with files for this mod, covering game versions 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, and it is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only with client and server both needing it. Its datapacks can be enabled at world creation or with /datapack enable.

Key features

  1. Unified materials

Matching blocks, items and fluids from different addons are treated as one material in recipes and processes.

  2. Configurable priority

A priority order decides which mod's version of a shared item is kept, with the rest hidden in recipe viewers.

  3. Copycat block support

Copycat blocks from several Create add-ons are made compatible with one another.

  4. Cross-mod fuels

Fuels from several mods can be used in rockets, and a datapack can disable that support.
