Create: Radars

by Arsenalists of Create

With Create: Radars installed, players can build radar towers, monitors and autocannon controllers as Create contraptions, on Forge and NeoForge.

ForgeNeoForgeClient and serverCustom license1.20.1 – 1.21.1

What it does

The mod adds radar and surveillance blocks built around the Create animated-machinery system. Radar bearings are assembled as multiblocks, and the shape of each radar changes its capability. A scalable monitor multiblock displays what the radars pick up, so a player can track nearby targets from one screen.

A cannon controller directs autocannons toward intruders that the radars have detected. Designs are left largely open: the mechanics follow simplified real-world detection principles, and players arrange the components themselves rather than working through menus. The server and every player need the mod installed. Files are published for Forge and NeoForge across 7 release versions, under a custom license that is not open source. Create Radars is required by five other mods, including Create Aero Radars and Create Radars: Mobile Radars.

Key features

  1. Radar bearing multiblock

A radar is built from a bearing multiblock, and its shape determines how well it detects targets.

  2. Scalable monitor

A monitor multiblock grows with its size and shows the radar picture across a wider area.

  3. Cannon controller

The controller aims autocannons at intruders that the radars have spotted.

  4. Contraption-based setups

Radars and displays are arranged as animated Create components, so each base can be laid out differently.

Use cases

Base defense

Radar bearings placed around a base can spot approaching targets, and the cannon controller can respond to them.

Battlefield overview

A large monitor multiblock gives a single view of nearby activity during a fight.

Who it’s for: Players who already use Create and want detection and turret mechanics that fit its contraption style. Server owners who run combat or defense content on Forge or NeoForge.
