With Create Horse Power, animals become a power source for Create contraptions, so a horse or another mob can drive a machine in place of a water wheel or engine.

What it does

Each mob type contributes a different amount of stress capacity and rotation output to the machine it drives. Server owners set these values in the configuration files, and players can combine several animals to reach the speed a build needs. The mod requires Create and Just Enough Items (JEI). It is published for Forge and NeoForge, for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, and is released under the MIT License as open source.

The mod fits modpacks and progression-based worlds where machinery is introduced in stages. Its settings allow a casual or hardcore approach to the same content, and the source code and issue tracker are public. Forge builds exist for 1.20.1, with the latest file dated 2025-11-25, while NeoForge builds target 1.21.1, with the latest file dated 2025-11-23. Both sides must run the mod, so the server and every player install it.
