Create: Coal Recipe

by itzdragoncze

Create: Coal Recipe is a Create add-on that gives players a crushing recipe for coal, so coal can be automated from scoria.

FabricForgeNeoForgeServer required, client optionalMIT License1.20.1 – 1.21.1

What it does

The add-on adds a recipe in which a Crushing Wheel processes scoria and returns 75% coal. Players can set up a line in Create that produces coal without mining it, which suits worlds where coal runs short. The recipe ships as a datapack, so it can be dropped into a world's datapacks folder and removed again the same way.

Create: Coal Recipe requires Create, which must be installed on the same side as this mod. The server needs the mod; players may add it for the recipe to show up in their recipe viewers. Builds are published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, and a datapack version is available for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1. The mod is released under the MIT License and is not open source.

Key features

  1. Automated coal

Scoria crushed by a Crushing Wheel yields 75% coal, letting a Create setup produce coal automatically.

  2. Recipe viewer support

Use Enough Items and JEI can display the recipe in-game, so players can check it without leaving the world.

  3. Datapack install

A .zip datapack can be placed in a world's datapacks folder to add the recipe without installing a mod file.

Use cases

Coal-poor worlds

Servers or single-player worlds where coal is scarce can use the crushing line to keep a steady supply.

Who it’s for: Players who already run Create machinery and want coal as a byproduct of crushing scoria, and server owners who prefer a datapack route with no extra mod file.
