by sieyva

Players who want Dutch snacks in a Create factory can use Create: Bitterballen, an addon that adds a Mechanical Fryer and a set of fried and baked foods.

FabricForgeNeoForgeClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.19.2 – 1.21.1

What it does

The addon adds Dutch snacks to Create, with a Mechanical Fryer that cooks them and the frying oil they need. Its foods include stroopwafels, oliebollen, kroketten, bitterballen and frikandellen. Bitterballen are a meat-based snack, built from a dense, roux-bound stock loaded with meat.

The mod requires Create and Create Fabric, so both must be installed alongside it on every loader. It is open source under the MIT License and uses modified assets from the Create mod, which is also released under the MIT License. Files exist for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, with game versions 1.19.2 – 1.21.1 and the latest builds targeting 1.21.1 for NeoForge.

Crystallised oil is also part of the frying chain. The mod was first published in December 2023 and was last updated in September 2026. Only 1.21.1 receives active support, and no downgraded versions are planned. The mod was previously called Create: Bicycles and Bitterballen, but the bicycle part was dropped.
