CraftStudio

by ARC_n

CraftStudio is a Fabric client tool for building resource packs, letting creators browse, edit, validate and export packs from inside the game.

FabricClient-side onlyCustom license1.21.11

What it does

Creators use the client-side interface to browse Minecraft 1.21.11 assets such as blocks and items, preview them, edit pack files and validate projects before export. Projects can be created from scratch or opened from a list of recent work, and the pack metadata for Minecraft 1.21.11 is generated automatically.

The tool finds and explains the asset files a pack needs, showing dependencies in clear groups so creators can see what each file does. Search covers asset names and identifiers, and translation keys can be inspected. Editable pack files are kept apart from CraftStudio's internal files, and critical problems are shown before export, which blocks invalid packs from being written. Finished packs can be exported without extracting the Minecraft JAR by hand.

Installation requires Fabric API. CraftStudio is client-side only, so servers do not need it, and it is published for Fabric only, with a single build, 1.0.0 for 1.21.11, dated 2026-07-25. The code is available on a public source repository and an issue tracker is linked, but the mod is not open source and is distributed under a custom license. Future updates are planned to expand support.

Key features

  1. Asset browsing and search

Blocks and items from Minecraft 1.21.11 can be browsed visually, and assets can be searched by name or identifier.

  2. Asset inspection

Asset identifiers and translation keys are listed for each asset, and the files behind them are located automatically.

  3. Project validation

The project is checked for critical problems, and invalid packs are blocked from export until those problems are resolved.

  4. Export without extraction

Finished resource packs are exported directly, so no Minecraft JAR has to be unpacked manually to find asset paths.
