Searchable Packs

by Jakomi1

Searchable Packs puts a search bar on the resource pack screen, so a player with many installed packs can narrow the list by typing part of a name.

FabricClient-side onlyMIT License1.21.4 – 1.21.8

What it does

Typing in the search bar filters the resource pack list as each letter is entered. Matching packs are highlighted in green and non-matching packs in red, which makes the result readable at a glance. The search box sits directly on the resource pack screen, so no separate menu or command is needed.

The filter helps when dozens of packs are installed and scrolling through them would take time. The mod is published for Fabric only, for 1.21.4 – 1.21.8, and is installed by placing its file in the mods folder and launching the client. It is client-side only, so a server does not need it and players can join without it. Its code is released under the MIT License, and the project is not open source.

Key features

  1. Live name filtering

The list updates instantly as the player types, matching against each resource pack's name.

  2. Green and red highlighting

Packs that match the query are shown in green and the rest in red, so matches stand out.

  3. Integrated search bar

The search field is added to the existing resource pack menu rather than opening a new window.

  4. Lightweight design

The filter adds a single search box and runs without extra setup beyond placing the file in the mods folder.
