Invisible Item Frames lets players hide the frame itself while the item inside stays visible, for builders who want items to look placed rather than framed.
What it does
Invisible Item Frames is a decoration mod for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, with files for 1.20.3 – 1.21.6 and the latest build, 1.1.4, dated 2025-06-20. The server must run it, while players may leave it out. The mod is released under the Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial 4.0 license and is not open source. A data pack version is also available for servers.

Invisible item frames
Crafted from phantom membranes, these frames display the item placed inside as if no frame were present.
Glow variant
An invisible glow item frame is also craftable, using the same phantom membrane recipe.
Subtle particles
Placed items emit faint particles, so players can still find where they put things without a visible frame.
