Craft Stairs Back Into Blocks generates crafting recipes that turn stairs back into their full blocks, so players no longer need a separate recipe for each stair shape.
What it does
Crafting recipes are produced automatically by scanning stair shapes against their source blocks. Each generated recipe lists how many blocks are returned from a stair, and the amount is set in the config. The list of stairs and the blocks they craft back to can be read and edited, so a server owner can see exactly what is covered.
Automatic generation can be switched off in the config, in which case recipes must be added by hand from the same list. The mod depends on Deimos, which must be installed next to it. The author notes that the automatic scan works with other mods that add new stair types, so those stairs can get recipes without manual setup.
Craft Stairs Back Into Blocks is open source under the MIT License. It is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt across 30 release versions, 1.18 – 26.2, and the environment is server-side only, so players join without installing it.
