Copper Horn Lives
Copper Horn Lives brings back the Copper Horns item that was cut from Minecraft during the Wild Update's development, as a data pack and mod for four loaders.
What it does
The mod restores Copper Horns as an item. A player crafts one at a crafting table from a goat horn and three copper ingots, and the result is one of ten copper horn variants, chosen by the goat horn used. Using the item plays a tune: looking up gives a higher pitched sound, and crouching gives a bass tone. The original implementation is followed closely, and the data pack version adds two new goat horns.
Goat horns that drop from regular and screaming goats are listed among the sources, and commands such as the give functions for the Great Sky Falling horn let a server owner hand out horns directly. The mod is server required and client optional: the server must run it, while players may leave it out. Files cover 1.19 – 1.21.8 across Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and the code is released under the MIT License, so it is open source.
