Copper Cutting

by notblue

Copper Cutting adds stonecutter recipes that turn copper blocks into doors and trapdoors, along with several recycling and repair changes for tools and gear.

FabricForgeNeoForgeQuiltServer required, client optionalCreative Commons Attribution Non Commercial Share Alike 4.01.21 – 26.3

What it does

A stonecutter converts copper, exposed, weathered and oxidized copper blocks, including their waxed versions, into the matching doors. Each copper block yields five doors and four trapdoors, so a build's copper stock stretches further. Copper Cutting also includes an anvil repair change and cheaper clocks and compasses, plus better recycling of copper, gold and iron items.

A server must run the mod, while players may join without installing it. Files are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt across 17 release versions, and snapshot builds are published as well. It is also offered as a data pack for server platforms. The pack is released under the Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial Share Alike 4.0 license, which is not open source, and the author permits modifying and sharing it under the license's conditions. Source code and an issue tracker are linked publicly.

Key features

  1. Stonecutter copper doors

A stonecutter converts copper blocks in each oxidation stage, waxed or not, into the matching doors and trapdoors.

  2. Five doors per block

Each copper block yields five doors and four trapdoors through the stonecutter, so a copper stock lasts longer.

  3. Anvil repair

An anvil repair change alters how damaged items are restored at an anvil.

  4. Cheaper clocks and compasses

Clocks and compasses need fewer materials to craft, lowering the cost of navigation items.

  5. Better recycling

Copper, gold and iron items return more material when recycled, so unused gear gives back more of its cost.
