Control Flow adds a Barrel Drum block that sets the direction in which water and lava flow out of it, for Fabric and NeoForge.

What it does

The Barrel Drum is a directional block with one side open, and it is waterloggable, so fluid can be routed in the direction the player chooses. It is crafted from five iron ingots and one blue dye, and it is listed in the Functional tab next to the Barrel. Players use it for more compact water wheels and cobblestone generators. Control Flow runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files are published for Fabric and NeoForge across 17 release versions, 1.20.1 – 1.21.11, under the CC0 1.0 Universal license, and the source code is public.
