Continue Button Continued

by Likos-Lupus

Players who want to skip the title-screen menu can use Continue Button Continued, which places a small Continue button there that returns to the last world or server played.

FabricNeoForgeClient-side onlyMIT LicenseOpen source1.21.11 – 26.3

What it does

Clicking the Continue button opens the last singleplayer world the player entered, or reconnects to the last multiplayer server joined. When the saved target no longer exists, the button falls back to the world and server selection screen instead. The mod keeps track of the last target itself, so the player does not need to pick it again each session.

Players can hover the button to see a tooltip describing the saved world or server. For a multiplayer server, the mod pings it before showing the status in that tooltip. On first launch, the mod tries to copy settings from an older Continue Button install, so existing configuration carries over. Continue Button Continued is a fork of Continue Button by umollu. The mod requires Architectury API on both loaders. It is client-side only, so servers do not need to install it, and it is published for Fabric and NeoForge for 1.21.11 – 26.3 under the MIT License. The code is open source.

Questions

Does Continue Button Continued need Architectury API?

Yes. Architectury API is a required dependency on both Fabric and NeoForge and must be installed next to the mod.

Does the server need this mod?

No. The mod is client-side only, so only the player's client needs it and servers run without it.

Can older Continue Button settings carry over?

On first launch the mod tries to copy the legacy configuration to its new location, unless a configuration already exists there.
