Configured
by Jack
Configured lets a server operator change several server settings on the fly and switch off parts of the End and Nether.
What it does
Configured is a server-side mod that adds a set of config options for finer control over the game. Each option is a small tweak aimed at server administrators: they can turn the End and Nether portals off, change the server's listed player count, set view and simulation distance while the server runs, and force command blocks on regardless of server.properties. A toggle can also close the server to everyone except operators, which allows a maintenance mode without changing permissions.
The mod includes an option that shows hardcore hearts to every player without changing gameplay, and a message for players who are barred from joining. Fabric API is required, and the BetterConfig library is bundled inside the mod. Configured is released under the MIT License and is open source, with public links to source code, an issue tracker and a wiki. Files target 1.16.4 – 26.3 on Fabric only.
Key features
End and Nether toggles
Options switch off End portals, End gateways, End Portal Frame filling, Eye of Ender casting and Nether portals for all players.
Live server settings
Simulation distance, view distance, max players, spawn protection and item despawn age can be changed while the server runs.
Maintenance-style join lock
Only operators can join while the lock is on, and a custom message is shown to players who are turned away.
Player-facing tweaks
A fake hardcore display for hearts and a PVP toggle that works as an online alternative to server.properties.

How it compares
Disable End is a server-side mod for Fabric covering 1.16 – 26.2, under the CC0 1.0 Universal license and open source. NoDim is server-side, open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, and runs on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt for 1.14.3 – 26.3, so it reaches more loaders. Configured covers only the End and Nether portions of that work and adds live settings for distance, player count and join lock.

What the author says
A mod with several small tweaks that aim at giving the server admin more finite control of the server. You can disable travel to the end, nether, have fake hardcore hearts, toggle the "Join-ability" of your server for everyone but ops so that you can stay in a sort of maintenance mode without needing to change…
