Conditional Barriers

by CrawKatt

Conditional Barriers lets players pass through barrier blocks according to configurable rules, so map makers can decide who may walk through a barrier.

FabricClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.21.1

What it does

Barrier blocks stay impassable for everyone by default. The mod adds rules that decide who may pass through them, based on game mode, permission level, player name, UUID or scoreboard tags. Rules can be changed in a configuration file and reloaded with in-game commands, so a server does not need a restart. Commands that manage the mod require permission level 2 or higher.

The mod also lets other mods register their own conditions through its developer API, so outside logic can control barrier access. Players who are allowed through a barrier are kept from suffocating inside it. Conditional Barriers is built on Fabric and must be installed on both the client and the server, since barrier blocks have to behave as non-solid on the client for movement to stay smooth. Conditional Barriers requires Fabric API on Fabric. Files target 1.21.1 only, and the code is under the MIT License, so the project is open source.
