Combat Hitboxes
by sootysplash
With Combat Hitboxes, the hitbox of a targeted entity changes color so players can see at a glance whether they are in reach.
What it does
The mod recolors the debug hitbox outline of the entity under the crosshair, red by default, instead of leaving it in the vanilla color. It is purely visual and only the client needs it, so servers run without it. Combat Hitboxes requires Cloth Config API, Fabric API and Mod Menu, and the code is under the Apache License 2.0, which makes it open source.
Key features
Targeted hitbox color
The whole hitbox of the targeted enemy changes color, red by default, instead of a small attack indicator.
Adjustable line width
The line width of the debug hitbox can be set thicker than the vanilla size.
Per-component colors
Each hitbox component has its own color setting, and each component can be toggled on or off.

What the author says
This purely visual mod adds settings for the debug hitbox line width (vanilla's size is usually too thin for my liking), color for each component, and a toggle for each component. Tired of squinting at the tiny attack indicator to see if you're within reach? With combat hitboxes, the entire hitbox will change color…
