Cobblemon Color Addition

by KiwiFlavoredApollo

Cobblemon Color Addition gives Cobblemon blocks more color variations, so builders can match Pokemon-themed structures to their palettes.

FabricClient and serverAll rights reserved1.20.1 – 1.21.1

What it does

Cobblemon Color Addition adds further variants of existing Cobblemon blocks, extending the decorative set that the Cobblemon mod already provides. Its author describes Healing Machines and Data Monitors among the additions, and the Cobblemon Assets are included as part of the package. The mod requires Cobblemon, so it cannot run without that dependency installed.

Installation is client and server, which means both the server and every player need the mod for the blocks to load consistently. The current release is 1.1.0+1.8.2 for 1.21.1, published on 2026-10-11, and the first build appeared on 2026-03-24. Files cover two game versions, 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, under All rights reserved, so the code is not open source.

The mod targets Fabric only, and no Forge or NeoForge build is published. Its release history therefore depends on the Fabric toolchain and on Cobblemon releasing builds for the same game versions.

Key features

  1. More block colors

Existing Cobblemon blocks receive additional color variants, giving builders more options in the same style.

  2. Healing Machines

The author lists healing machines among the new content, expanding the Cobblemon decoration set.

  3. Data Monitors

Data monitor blocks are part of the additions, adding another themed piece to Cobblemon builds.

  4. Cobblemon Assets

Cobblemon assets are bundled with the mod, so the new variants match the look of the base blocks.

Use cases

Pokemon-themed builds

Players constructing Cobblemon towns, labs or gyms can use the extra colors to vary building facades.

Interior decoration

The additional block variants suit rooms and displays where players want more shades to choose from.

Who it’s for: Players and server owners who already run Cobblemon and want more decorative block variants for building. Builders who use Fabric and a current Cobblemon release are the main audience.

How it compares

Full comparison

Cobblemon Color Addition is client and server, unlike Better Lightmap, which is client-side only and changes nothing on the server. Glow-in-the-Dark Pokemon [Cobblemon] is also available for Fabric, under the Mozilla Public License 2.0, with files for 1.19.2 – 1.21.1, and it is server required with an optional client. Cobblemon - Show Held Items is open source under the Mozilla Public License 2.0 and works on either side, while this mod needs both.
