Chest Search lets players type a term into a search bar over chests and shulker boxes, highlighting the slots that hold matching items.

What it does

Chest Search adds a search bar to chest and shulker box screens. Typing a word highlights the slots whose items match it, which makes it quicker to locate an item in a large storage setup. The mod runs on the client alone, so a server does not need to install it, and players join a server without changing anything on their side.

Installation can be done through the Modrinth launcher, which installs Fabric directly, or by placing the file in the mods folder of an instance that already has Fabric. Cloth Config API and Mod Menu are required. The mod is published for Fabric only, across 13 release versions 1.20.1 – 26.3, and is released under the MIT License as open source.
