ChestNet

by Basil11

ChestNet lets a player find items stored in nearby chests and containers without opening each one, using a search box, a hotkey and highlights.

FabricClient-side onlyMIT License26.1.2 – 26.2

What it does

Once a search is typed, the mod highlights every container that holds the selected item and marks the exact slots inside any container that is opened. A hotkey can search the item under the mouse cursor instead of a typed name, which helps when a storage room has many similar items.

Contents are remembered and saved separately for each world or server, so results stay available after a restart. The more containers a player fills and records, the more useful the search becomes. Runs on Fabric for 26.2 and 26.1.2, released under the MIT License; the environment is client-side only, so a server installation is not required.

Key features

  1. Search nearby containers

Typing an item name finds every nearby chest and container that holds it, without opening each one.

  2. Highlight matching containers

Containers holding the searched item are outlined, so the right storage room is simple to spot.

  3. Exact slot highlight

When a matching container is opened, the slots that hold the item are marked.

  4. Search under the cursor

A hotkey searches the item under the mouse cursor, with no typing needed.

  5. Remembered contents

Container contents are recorded and kept per world or server, so they can be searched later.
