CC: Item Utils
by H3mlin
CC: Item Utils is a Fabric storage mod that adds a few item utilities built to work with computers, and it needs CC: Tweaked to run.
What it does
The mod adds a small set of item utilities that connect to computers as peripherals. A utility is placed with storage above it, the source storage below it, and the destination on another side, so items move between inventories without extra wiring. Once placed, the block connects to a computer the same way other peripherals do, and a program can control the transfer.
CC: Item Utils requires CC: Tweaked, which provides the computer and peripheral system the utilities plug into. Without it, the utilities have nothing to connect to. The mod is built for Fabric and is released for Minecraft 1.20.1 only, with a single Fabric file, 1.0.0, dated 2026-01-21. The server and every player need the mod installed.
The source code is public, and the mod is open source under the MIT License, so the code can be read and reused under those terms. Its catalog category is Storage, with Management and Technology as secondary categories.
Key features
Inventory transfer block
A placed utility moves items from the storage above it, through its sides, into the destination storage.
Peripheral connection
A computer can attach to the utility like any other peripheral and control the transfer from a program.
Compact layout
Storage is arranged vertically, with the source above and the destination below, so a chain fits into a small space.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.

Use cases
Automated sorting
A program on a computer can move items between chests on a schedule, feeding a sorting line or a crafting input.
Storage distribution
One source chest can supply several destination chests through a set of utilities, handled by a script.
Who it’s for: Players who already run CC: Tweaked and want item movement controlled from computer code on a Fabric 1.20.1 world. The mod suits survival bases and server setups that already use peripheral-based automation.
How it compares
AE2CC Bridge connects an energy-based storage network to computers and covers 1.18.2 – 1.20.2, so it fits older builds. PowerAE2CC Bridge is also a Fabric and Quilt bridge for 1.20.1, and it works with that network's storage rather than plain chests. CC: Item Utils is limited to 1.20.1 and moves items between ordinary inventories.

What the author says
The item extractor will always return the number of successful transfers. If any of the storages are missing you will get a return of 0 and if there is an insufficient amount of items in the source storage it will only transfer what it can and return the value.
